Marie-Christine is an avid traveler, spending most of her vacation days on sun-kissed all-inclusive beaches or indulging in Mickey-shaped snacks while watching fireworks over Cinderella Castle. From travelling overseas and backpacking through Europe on a budget to cruising the warm Caribbean waters aboard some of the most majestic ships, Marie-Christine has done it all and taken notes. Being gluten-intolerant she knows how to travel with food sensitivies. Let Marie-Christine share her experience with you and help to plan the most magical vacation for your family.
About Me
I was born in a small town not far from Montreal, Québec in the valley of a mountain with a large ski resort. (Oui, je parle aussi français!) I have lived in Southern Ontario for over 10 years now. My day to day consists of being a teacher, but also a gym rat, a plant collector, a fur mama of several rescues with medical conditions (dogs and cats), a foodie, a music journalist and a photographer. In my spare time I love reading, cooking, gardening and of course, PLANNING MY NEXT TRIP!
I was in my late teens when my parents took me on my first trip ever to an all-inclusive resort in Cuba. This is when my travel addiction started. Hooked on experiencing what the world had to offer, I spent the following years exploring various resorts in all over the Caribbean. Then, a friend convinced me to start exploring Europe simply with a backpack and a small budget. We did this for a few years and created the best memories with locals and enjoyed the most delicious local cuisine. It was quite an experience!
After meeting my husband, we started to cruise yearly. When he discovered that I had never been to Walt Disney World, he took me on my first trip at 32 years old! It was then that I fell in love with Disney and the magic it creates.
Since that first trip 5 years ago we have stayed at or visited every single resort, tried most of the restaurants and famous snacks, and even mastered the ever-changing apps and other Disney tools. We are so hooked that I now make my own ears and matching outfits for my husband and I.
I’ve traveled with different styles where I had a strict budget or I have also traveled without counting money. I’ve traveled all over North America and overseas by car, bus, train, plane and boat. I ALWAYS make the best of each trip and come back with a head full of memories and information.
Being a fitness enthusiast and a foodie who unfortunately struggles with food allergies, I always find an option to combine a self-care routine, with fun times and a food restriction.
